Wedding Album: The Steer’s, September 2017

It was the most relaxed happy day ever and everyone made it so special for us”

Tina and Peter are besotted. There is no if, buts or maybes, this beautiful couple are absolutely crazy about each other. Choosing to ‘run away’ and tie the knot just the two of them, they only told a handful of close family members before travelling down to Cornwall. Tina explains;

“On our first holiday together Peter and I visited the Hidden Hut and I remember standing on the beach thinking that I could marry this man… right here! Little did I know he was also thinking the same thing. Porthcurnick beach and the headland became our favourite place and we kept returning… in May 2017 we did a mad day trip from the New Forest and got engaged on the beach! Walking back up the hill we saw The Rosevine and the final piece fell into place! We knew there was nowhere else we would want to get married. With the blessing of our kids, dogs and families we decided to do it our way…just the 2 of us….no fuss, no table plans, no guests.”

Choosing to say ‘I do’ in front of our fire in our lounge, we had to use pillar candles on the day to gain some glow as the hot sunshine shone down on these two at the end of September. Myself and colleague acted as the couples witnesses as they shared their emotional and happy vows. The ceremony was rounded off with a spontaneous operatic rendition of happy birthday from one of the registrars when he discovered it was also the bride’s birthday!

Following the ceremony the loved up couple and photographer Toby Lowe, headed out into the sunshine for a walk down to the beach and along the coast path. “We walked down to the headland and had an amazing time with Toby on our own personal photo shoot.  Climbing down rocks (no mean feat in a wedding dress!), being waved at by Cornish fishermen in their boat, and paddling in the sea our wellies…huge fun!” The resulting photos are just out of this world…

While Tina and Peter were out enjoying the sunshine, the team set up a table in the garden with flowers picked from the garden, chilled champagne, and a platter of nibbles for an al fresco sundowner to remember. They then followed this by dining on Head Chef Tim’s a la carte menu looking out to sea.

“We were blessed with the most beautiful sunny day and we were so happy. Everyone made us feel so special and we just beamed all day! For us The Rosevine holds a special place in our heart and gave us a day we will remember forever. We would not have changed a thing!”
