It’s one of our favourite holidays of the year! Trips down to the beach with buckets and spades, getting out on the water, and back at the house we’ll have the BBQ lit and G&Ts flowing on the lawn. It could almost be summer! So get the family together, pack your flip flops and head to the seaside for May half term.
On warm, dry days there’s nothing better than having breakfast together as a family then heading off for a day on the beach at the end of the lane or perhaps exploring further the beaches that line the coast with a picnic packed.
Or, take the crabbing nets to St Mawes, and a regular boat service can transport you over to Falmouth with its maritime museum for the day. Spot the wildlife as dolphins, seals and whales do make an appearance!
Elsewhere at our top attractions, Eden is hosting “Game On”, the opportunity to try anything from retro classics to high-tech games – a winner with all the family. Newquay Zoo is hosting “Jungle Mayhem” as well as its regular feeding times and keeper talks, Trelissick Gardens are having a “50 things” trail in the garden and surrounding countryside, and the famous open air and clifftop Minack Theatre near Porthcurno is running storytelling sessions. Do check the individual websites for opening times and visiting information.
Back at the house, you can of course relax in your own apartment or suite, or head for the lounge and playroom with XBox, kick a football around as well as other lawn games, swim in the indoor pool, and enjoy family dining or book the children in for kid’s tea and yourselves in for adult dining a bit later.
Stay in sea view interconnecting studios if you’re a young family travelling with grandparents or for families of up to 2 adults and 3 children, and groups of families, book our suites or apartments for that bit more extra space and facilities.
