2017 rosevine what we are looking forward to

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FORWARD TO IN 2017!

It’s going to be a year of family, celebrations and lots and lots of days spent on the beach.  Here’s to some exciting developments for 2017 – read on for more.

Making memories with all the family
Another year is over and what have you done?  Did you take that trip with family and friends that you have been meaning to book but never got around to getting the dates sorted?  Well, 2017 is the year and family-friendly The Rosevine is the place!  We’re all set up for groups of friends or family travel with grandparents, especially as our Sea View Studios have interconnecting doors and our self-catering cottage, The Lookout, can now sleep up to 8 with flexible sleeping options.

Take a look at our February half term break, we’re having a special Valentine’s dinner for the adults and babysitters for the children.

A trend to toast to – Celebration Travel
We’ve heard on the grapevine that destination weddings, engagements, birthdays and other celebrations are on the increase for next year.  And what a place to celebrate than at the party house by the sea on the Cornish coast.  We can’t say it enough, a celebration at The Rosevine is truly special.  The whole house to yourselves if you wish, or you can just book the Private Dining Room for small gatherings, the beach just down the lane and to be surrounded by your nearest and dearest.  What could be better?  It’s the opportunity to give your guests something special – to make them feel like they’re on holiday.  And it’s not too late to have a celebration next year.

Have a look at our available wedding weekends here or give us a call for more information.

Watch out, there’s a food fight about!
We are planning a very special foodie event next year and it’s not to be missed.  The Rosevine will be battling it out against The Old Quay House in Fowey with each Chef creating and cooking 2 courses to be crowned the “Food Fight” winner.  The Old Quay House will have their evening on Thursday 23 February and then the Rosevine on Thursday 30 March 2017.  There’ll be some exceptional cooking, wines paired by local merchant Charles Steevenson and the opportunity to stay in some wonderful locations. Tickets cost £149pp per event to include dinner, bed and breakfast and places are limited so do book early.  Dinner only option £35pp. £2 from each ticket will go to each hotel’s chosen charity.  Please book with reception directly on 01872 580206 or email [email protected]

Food glorious food
Speaking of food, and we like to do a lot of that, here’s a little update of what’s going on in the restaurant for next year.  Another New Year, another new taste-bud tantalising menu; Chef has been busy planning what he’ll be creating for our guests, and that means all of our guests, and it won’t disappoint.  Using the same wonderful suppliers and quality of ingredients and service, there’ll be some new flavour combinations, inspiration from world cooking, but don’t worry all your firm favourites will also feature.

New for 2017 – The Rosevine’s Website
Our new website will launch in January, keeping you up to date with our latest news and offers from the Big House By The Sea, as well as having the same web address https://www.rosevine.co.uk.  We’ll have a dedicated Packages page, an Upcoming Offers and Events page that will be updated on a regular basis so a good one to Bookmark and a Blog page with lots of holiday inspiration and ideas.

We look forward to sharing it with you in the New Year so watch this space!

And finally…
As ever, we strive to make holidays at The Rosevine the best experience possible, with equal measurements of fun, relaxation and quality time, whether as a family, couple or group of friends, by the sea.  We’re so close to the beach you can almost touch it, and the south west coast path runs the length of it – to Nare Head in one direction and the pretty-as-a-picture Portscatho in the other.  Nothing beats a winter walk at this time of year; cosy jackets, woollies and wellies, and crisp sea air before heading back to the house for hot chocolates and a G&T in front of the fire.  Of course, some days call for indoor activities, especially with children and we’ve also been working with local attractions to provide you with the best entrance tickets.  Please call in to our reception to ask about discounted tickets to the National Maritime Museum, The Eden Projectand The Lost Gardens of Heligan. And don’t forget that our SUV can pick you up from Newquay airport or Truro and St Austell train stations and take you to our local attractions during your stay too.

Here’s to another great Rosevine year and to welcoming you here very soon!
