The Rosevine has a long history as a hotel in Cornwall, and before that as a Georgian family house. The Rosevine as it is now opened in 2008, and set the scene for an alternative to traditional hotels in Cornwall. It is difficult to put a label on what we are. Although boutique in style and size, we don’t really think of ourselves as a hotel, yet we don’t mind if you treat us like one.
In a nutshell we’re a boutique hotel with some of the perks of self-catering. We have created private self-contained spaces for guests to stay in, and shared spaces for guests to mix in; all in a Cornish beach setting.
The house has been restored with charm and character. The drawing room, playroom and indoor swimming pool are your shared spaces to enjoy. There are suites and apartments, each with sitting and dining area and a discreet mini kitchen. There is also a separate self-catering house within the grounds. Rooms are filled with a mix of old and restored painted French pieces of furniture, which nestle up against more modern finds.
You’ll find us elegant yet casual, without a stuffy atmosphere and overly formal service.
Some nice things people have said about us:
“Run on very professional lines... The short restaurant menu appeals with its local produce... Service is impeccable.”
